11 – Percorso Val d’Agort

Lasciando la macchina presso la chiesa del paese, una comoda strada pianeggiante in direzione sud conduce alla piazzetta del “Barc” ove si nota un’antica macchina per battere il frumento e il nobile Castello di Castellano. Raggiunta la parte alta del paese si prosegue per località Presuam e, superato il rio d’Agort di raggiunge l’antico rustico del “Mas dei Gatoni”. Proseguendo si scende e si arriva alla cascata “Pissavaca”, con l’acqua che scavalca la strada che conduce a Patone. Una comoda strada pianeggiante attraversa le località Dos de l’Altar e Cavazim con i ruderi di un vecchio mulino. In fondo alla valle, riattraversato il rio, si imbocca l’antica e ripida strada delle “Coste”, lungo la quale si nota un capitello. Ritornati in paese è possibile visitare la cappella dedicata ai caduti delle guerre.

Wenn man den Wagen in der Nähe der Kirche des Dorfes parkt, leitet ein günstiger flacher Weg bis zum kleinen Platz „Barc“, wo eine alte Maschine zum Schlagen der Weizen und das adliges Schloss Castellano zu beobachen sind. Nach dem obenen Teil des dorfes läuft man nach Presuam weiter und über das Flüsschen „d’Agort“ erreicht man das alte Landhaus “Mas dei Gatoni”. Weiter abwärts kommt man auf den Wasserfall „Pissavaca“, dessen Wasser über den Weg nach Patone fließt. Ein günstiger flacher Weg führt durch die Örtlichkeiten „Dos de l’Altar“ und „Cavazim“ und die Ruine einer alten Mühle entlang. Am Ende des Tals, noch einmal über das Flüsschen, beginnt der alte und steile Weg von „Coste“; bei diesem Weg liegt auch ein Kapitell. Wenn man zurück nach dem Dorf geht, ist es möglich, die an den Gefallenen des Krieges gewidmete Kapelle zu sehen.

Leaving a car near the village Church, an easy plain road will bring you to the small square “Barc” with its ancient machine for wheat beating and a noble Castle of Castellano. After reaching an upper part of the village, walk towards “Presuam” area and, after you pass “d’Agort” creek, you will get to the ancient rural building of “Mas dei Gatoni”. Then come down until you get to “Pissavaca” waterfalls; its waters climb over the road to Panone. An easy plain road crosses the areas of “Dos de l’Altar” & “Cavazim” with an old windmill ruins. In the end of the valley, crossing the creek again, you should take an ancient and steep “Coste” road; on your way you will see capitello. After you get back to the village, you may observe a Chapel to the fallen in the wars.
