Il percorso inizia all’ingresso del paese di Castellano, presso la chiesa. Superato l’abitato, si prosegue per una strada pianeggiante da cui si possono ammirare le vette sovrastanti (catena Stivo-Cornetto). Giunti alla casa colonica di Marcoiano, proprio all’ingresso del bosco, è possibile soffermarsi presso una calchèra, ove nei tempi andati si produceva la calce. Oltrepassato il palazzo di Daiano, si notano i resti di una “giazera”, ove si conservavano i cibi. Giunti alla Peschiera, costeggiando rio Daiano, si prosegue attraverso la località “L’Amol”, con resti di antiche costruzioni, e si raggiunge l’antica località di Torano. Da qui è possibile raggiungere la “Preèra”, dove in passato si estraeva la pietra. Il Percorso Didattico risale invece lungo la strada attraverso le località Trasiel, Prà del Rover (fabbrica di tegole di epoca romana) e Prà dall’Albi. Da qui si raggiunge l’antico eremo di San Martino. Si attraversa il laghetto stagionale di Prà dall’Albi e si ritorna nella “selva di Daiano”. Passando per la “Calchèra Alta” e il “Prà Lonc” si ritorna alla “giazera” e a Daiano, da cui si rientra a Castellano percorrendo la strada iniziale.
Die Route beginnt am Anfang vom Dorf Castellano bei der Kirche. Nach der Örtlichkeit läuft man auf einen flachen Weg weiter, woher man die beherrschenden Gipfel (Bergkette Stivo-Cornetto) beobachten kann. Wenn man das Bauernhaus „Marcoiano“ (Casa colonica di Marcoiano) gleich beim Anfang des Waldes erreicht, ist es möglich, sich bei einem Kalkofen zu halten, wo Kalk in den alten Tagen produziert wurde. Nachdem man den Palast von Daiano übergeschritten hat, kann man die Ruine einer „Giazera“ bemerken, wo man Nahrungsmittel bewahrte. Wenn man „Peschiera“ das Flüsschen Daiano entlang erreicht, läuft man weiter durch das Ort l’Amol, wo die Ruine von alten Gebäuden liegen, und man erreicht das alte Ort Torano. Aus diesem Punkt ist es möglich, die „Preèra” zu erreichen, wo Stein in der Vergangenheit abgebaut wurde. Die didaktische Route leitet dagegen abwärts auf den Weg durch Trasiel, Prà del Rover (Dachziegelfabrik aus der Römerzeit) und Prà dall’Albi. Von hier erreicht man die alte Einsiedelei von Heiligem Martin. Wenn man il laghetto stagionale von Prà dall’Albi durchquert, kehrt man zurück zum Wald von Daiano, „selva di Daiano“. Durch die „Calchera Alta“ und der „ Prà Lonc“ kommt man zurück zur „Giazera“ und bei Daiano, woraus man Castellano auf den anfänglichen Weg erreicht.
This route starts at the entrance to Castellano village, right from the church. After crossing the village, you should follow the plain road which also permits you to admire Stivo-Cornetto mountain peaks. When you reach to colonial house of Marcoiano, right by the forest entrance, you will see a limekiln, where in the ancient times quicklime was produced. After passing Daiano Palace you will note the ruins of “giazera” – “ice cave”, used for food conservation. From the nearby “peschiera” (a fishpond), walking along Daiano creek, you will cross “l’Amol” area with its ancient building ruins and reach the ancient area of Torano. From that point you may reach “Preèra”, where in the ancient times the stones were extracted. This Educational Route comes up crossing the areas of Trasiel, Prà del Rover (a tile factory in Roman period) & Prà dall’Albi. Afterwards you may reach the ancient hermitage of San Martino. Cross the seasonal lake of Prà dall’Albi and get back to Daiano forest. Passing by “Calchera Alta” & “Prà Lonc”, you will get back to “giazera” – ice cave in Daiano, and then reach Castellano by the same way.
